Quick update.. The remainder of the Ballet West performances went great. We’d like to extend our gratitude to choreographer Jason Linsley for the privilege of working with him, and cellist Linnea Overcker for performing live with us.
We’ll be playing with Gifts From Enola in July in Salt Lake City, Utah. Be sure to check the shows page for more details.
Last week was our first week of shows with the Ballet West Innovations Program. I can't tell you how excited and honored we are to be a part of this whole thing. The first week went really well and we got a lot of really positive responses from the audience.
The piece we are involved with is by soloist/choreographer Jason Linsley and is entitled "Growth and Grief". The dance is set to our songs "This Is The Last Time I'll Say Goodbye" and "September Isn't Too far and I'm Not Sure I'll Return" and is, to quote Jason, "based around two couples with very different relationship personalities, lovers and fighters. One of the couples goes through a massive tragedy and the other takes another look at their lives together. The process is very personal and driven from experience from myself and my dancers." It's really amazing and surreal to be a part of such an intensely emotional piece of work.
We're looking forward to the rest of these performances. If any of you can make it out to a show, come say hi. It would be awesome to have some friends in the audience.
After these shows, we're going to focus on writing/finishing up our next record. We already have some ideas that we are really excited about and can't wait to see them come to fruition.
So, thanks everyone for your patience. We hope to have the new record (plus maybe some other surprises) out there by the end of the year, at the latest.
Hi everyone! We've got a lot of cool stuff coming up including some performances with Ballet West in May. Be sure to check the shows page for the dates & times.
We've had some member changes. Both Liz (keyboard) & Matt (bass) have had to leave the band, but we're working hard to get new people in. So there will be a little delay, but we still plan to have a new album out as soon as possible.
